Couples rush to Norwalk Registrar for Leap Day weddings

Couples rushed over to the Los Angeles County Registrar Recorder’s office in Norwalk to get hitched this Leap Day.

KNX News’ Jon Baird reported that the parking lot was jammed as couples waited in line.

Baird spoke to Juan and Camilla, from La Habra, who have decided to take the marital leap on Thursday.

“This is kind of last minute. We decided that this is something that we wanted to do,” Juan said.

He said they’re going to decide whether to celebrate their anniversary the day before or after. Technically, their anniversary only happens once every four years.

The good thing about getting married on Leap Day is that you’re less likely to forget an anniversary.
