Burglars broke into another home in Encino early Tuesday morning while the family was inside.

It happened around 3 a.m. The house belongs to a well-known music producer, KNX News’ Jon Baird reported.

The three burglars reportedly broke into the home through the sliding glass door. The sound of glass shattering woke the family up and one of them spotted two of the suspects. The family locked themselves in a bedroom and called 911.

When police arrived, the suspects were gone.

This break-in is the latest in a string of break-ins and burglaries. It comes a day after a multi-million dollar home was broken into early Monday on Valley Vista Blvd. Before that, a home on Rancho Street was broken into on Aug.

One Encino resident told KNX News’ Jon Baird that everybody needs to be on alert.

“People better be aware of what's going on,” he said. “They think they can hide behind gates and houses and you see these beautiful homes, let's face it - they're beautiful. But once they hop the fence, they don't see nothing. You can't see anything from outside.”

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, one Encino neighborhood has had a 40% increase in the number of burglaries.
