A freeze warning was issued by the National Weather Service on Tuesday for multiple areas, including the Santa Clarita Valley, the western San Fernando Valley, and Calabasas.

Temperatures were expected to be between 29 to 32 degrees in many areas, according to the National Weather Service.

Todd Hall with the National Weather Service told KNX News’ Jon Baird that people should take extra precautions.

“If you're working outdoors or if you have to work outdoors, take extra precautions to stay warm,” he said. “Go with gloves and a hat if possible. Something to cover up your head, so you retain some of that heat.”

The warning will be in effect through 10 a.m. Tuesday. Following that, a wind advisory will be in effect through 4 p.m. Wednesday.

After that, a high wind watch will be in effect through Thursday afternoon. Impacted areas include the Interstate 5 corridor, Southern and Northern Ventura County Mountains, and Santa Barbara County Southwestern Coast.
