Several apartments were evacuated Monday in Pasadena while an investigation was conducted involving a person reportedly mixing chemicals at the location, authorities said.
The problem was reported about 6:15 a.m. in the 900 block of East Del Mar Avenue, said Lisa Derderian of the city of Pasadena.
Hazardous-materials crews were sent to the scene, and traffic was routed away from the area as a precaution, Derderian said. No injuries were reported.
