The Windy City has earned a dubious distinction, according to a new report by pest control giant Orkin. Chicago leads the U.S. in the category of most rat infestations.

2024 is the second straight year that Chicago finds its way to the top of one of those lists no one wants to be on, singled out for their robust rodent population.
Los Angeles climbs the rankings this year to come in at #2, knocking New York City down to third place in the process.
Washington, D.C., and San Francisco make up the rest of the top five.
As for the rest of the top 10, Philadelphia places sixth, followed by Baltimore, Denver, Detroit and the Cleveland-Akron metro area.
