A fire was burning Wednesday in about a half acre of brush in the Hollywood Hills area.
Firefighters were sent to the 8600 block of West Metz Place about 1:25 p.m., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Some homes were threatened, the LAFD reported. Crews from the Los Angeles County Fire Department were also involved in the firefighting effort.
