The Orange County district attorney’s office has created a hotline asking the public for any information on the pair charged in the death of 6-year-old Aiden Leos. Authorities believe the two may have been involved in other armed incidents.
The district attorney’s office asks that anyone with information on the possible involvement of Marcus Eriz, 24, and Wynne Lee, 23, in other firearm-brandishing incidents between December 2020 and June 2021 contact the hotline.
Authorities claim the couple was involved in another road rage incident only a few days after Leos’ fatal shooting. Eriz allegedly brandished a firearm at a Tesla driver near the 91 Freeway in Corona while Lee drove the same Volkswagen involved in Leos’ death.
Anyone with information on such incidents can call the tip line at (714) 834-7000 or email tips@da.gov.com.
The fatal shooting of Leos in a road-rage incident on the 55 Freeway in Orange shocked the local community and resulted in the California Highway Patrol receiving, “hundreds of tips,” according to CHP Border Division Chief Omar Watson.
According to officials, it was one of those tips that led them to Eriz and Lee.
The man and woman charged in the freeway shooting death of six-year-old Aiden Leos have both pleaded not guilty.
Eriz is charged with murder and could spend life in prison if convicted. Superior Court Judge Larry Yellin revoked Eriz’ $2-million bail during a hearing last week.
Lee is charged with being an accessory to murder and a misdemeanor count of having a concealed firearm in a vehicle. Her bail was set at $500,000.
