NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A man on a JetBlue flight en route to Detroit from JFK Monday was arrested for allegedly masturbating while in the air, WJBK-TV reported.
Chris Farina, an assignment editor at Detroit's FOX 2, was also on the two-hour flight and documented the disturbing incident.
“There was chatter [about] what had happened when we were on the plane,” Farina said. “The talk was he exposed himself and now [to] find out it was a little more than that. It’s not something you expect flying home.”
Passengers on the flight who were sitting next to the man were moved away from him after crew members were alerted to an “incident involving potentially inappropriate behavior by a customer,” a JetBlue spokesperson told the New York Post.
The man, whose identity was not released, is now facing federal misdemeanor disorderly conduct charges, according to WJBK-TV.
“Three [Detroit] Metro Airport police officers boarded the plane and within seconds, they were escorting a guy off the plane,” Farina added.
