After a long hiatus, Loveline is back on the air on The World Famous KROQ.
The new incarnation of the Sunday night call-in show is hosted by KROQ’s nighttime DJ Kevan Kenney and Dr. Tara, an award-winning sexologist and professor at California State University Fullerton.
The duo, along with their producer Beer Mug, spoke to KNX News’ Emily Valdez about bringing a new angle to the decades-old show.

“We're bringing fresh perspectives, you know, like for the last 20 years, things have changed so much in the dating and sex landscapes,” Dr. Tara said. “I would say that the answers you're going to get on this version of Loveline is going to be accurate for now, right? For this moment in time.”
“I think that it's a safe space where you can call in and talk to maybe somebody like me that's just like you, going through the same issues, or a professional doctor at the same time, which I think is really unique,” Kenney said.
The show will aim to help a wide range of listeners with their sex and dating problems, from younger audiences who are exploring love for the first time to the longtime listeners who grew up with Loveline. Dr. Tara said the show can be educational for people of all ages.
“I mean, I've had clients in their sixties that, you know, whenever I share new information about sex or relationships, they're like, whoa, I've never heard of this before,” she said.
