The man accused of kidnapping his 5-year-old daughter after allegedly killing her mother in the West Adams area has been arrested in Mexico.
Police say Ruben Fregoso will be extradited to the United States to face charges of murder and child abuse. His daughter, Daleyza Fregoso, was found safe and is expected to be reunited with her family in Los Angeles in the coming days.
Daleyza was reported missing on May 24. The car she and Ruben were in was found in San Diego.
On May 25, police went to a home in the 2600 block of South Alsace Ave. for a welfare check. When they arrived, a woman was found dead. She was later identified as Marisol Fregoso.
