A man was fatally shot Monday in a pickup truck in the South Los Angeles area, and an investigation was underway.
The shooting occurred about 5:45 a.m. in front of a Jack in the Box at Florence Avenue and Broadway, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The wounded man, in his 30s, was found slumped over the steering wheel of the vehicle, and he died at a hospital, police said. Information on his identity was not immediately available.

No suspect description was available. Officers were looking for a person who may have been in the vehicle at the time of the crime, according to the LAPD.
