McDonald’s restaurants serve an estimated 25 million customers daily and, based off his recent Threads post, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg is often one of them.
In a response to the fast food chain asking “y’all want anything from McDonald’s” he supplied a surprisingly large request: “20 nuggets, a quarter pounder, large fries, Oreo McFlurry, apple pie, and maybe some side cheeseburgers for later?”
Even without the “side cheeseburgers for later,” his order amounts to 2,570 calories, more than the general 2,000 per day reccomendation from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Some seemed concerned for him.
“You’re in camp! No Mcdonalds,” said MMA fighter Mike Davis in a response to the Threads post.
However, Zuckerberg had a quick comeback.
“Not cutting weight so I need ~4000 calories a day to offset all the activity. And it’s so delicious...” he said. In that case, maybe he could order those extra cheeseburgers.
Zuckerberg has been training in Jiu jitsu, a form of martial arts. In May, he posted on Instagram that he had participated in his first jiu jitsu tournament and that he won medals. In July, he posted that he had been promoted to compete for a blue belt.
It seems like most McDonald’s fans won’t have to worry about exceeding their calorie intake. According to survey results revealed last year, the most popular items from the fast food giant are French fries (480 calories for a large), cheeseburgers (300 calories) and the McChicken sandwich (400 calories).
