
A pedestrian was struck by at least one vehicle and killed Monday morning on the San Diego (405) Freeway in the unincorporated Lennox area of Los Angeles County.
The death was reported at 3:42 a.m. on the northbound San Diego Freeway at Lennox Boulevard near LAX, California Highway Patrol Officer Michael Nasir told City News Service.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, Nasir said. The pedestrian's age and gender were not immediately available.
The CHP issued a SigAlert at 4:14 a.m. shutting down lanes 2 through 5 in the area of the crash. Lanes 2, 3 and 4 were reopened about 5:25 a.m. but lanes 5 and 6 remained closed.
