A person was hit by a Metrolink train and killed Tuesday in the Northridge area, authorities said.
Paramedics were sent to the 8600 block of North Lindley Avenue shortly before 7 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

"The tracks have been shut down. No other patients."
The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed the person was hit by a Metrolink train.
