GRAPHIC VIDEO: Police need help finding SUV driver who hit 11-year-old boy running for the ice-cream truck

On Wednesday, March 24 at approximately 4:00 p.m., an 11-year old boy was struck by an SUV as he ran across the street trying to catch up to an ice cream truck.

The driver immediately stopped, got out of the truck and ran to check on the child. But within minutes, the driver then re-entered his truck, and fled the scene without rendering aid or identifying himself.

The collision occurred on 42nd Street just east of McKinley Avenue.

The vehicle is described as gray or beige 2002 Chevy Tahoe SUV bearing the California License Plate No. 6SEZ288.

The driver is described as a Latino man, 5’09” to 6’0”, and is in his 30’s.

The investigation also revealed that the Chevy Tahoe was reported stolen out of Rampart Division on March 21.

There's a $25,000 reward for information on the hit-and-run.
