President Joe Biden will be in Los Angeles on Saturday for a large fundraiser at the Peacock Theatre.

The Biden campaign is hoping for a repeat of their big March New York fundraiser that included a bevy of Broadway stars and former President Barack Obama. It raked in $25 million for the campaign.

This fundraiser will include Obama, Jimmy Kimmel, George Clooney, and Julia Roberts. Saturday’s event had some tickets that went out for free, but other tickets cost, at the higher end, $500,000.

Former President Donald Trump’s campaign outraised Biden in April. Trump’s campaign brought in $76 million, while Biden’s campaign brought in $51 million.

Trump was in L.A. last weekend for fundraising events. It was his first visit to Southern California since the Anaheim GOP Convention in September 2023.

First Lady Jill Biden spent three hours in L.A. last month for a fundraiser for Biden’s reelection campaign.
