Inner Circle president Tom Dunkel knocked on Phil’s door at Gobbler’s Knob Thursday morning for the 137th annual event.
Groundhog handler A.J. Dereume held Phil up to the cheering crowd before he made his weather prediction.
Thousands of people make the trip every February 2 to party and celebrate Groundhog Day.
Groundhog Day has been formerly celebrated since 1887.
