Reseda man allegedly sprayed victim before stealing video games, deputies say

RESEDA, Calif. (KNX) – A Reseda man was arrested after he allegedly sprayed a person with a chemical agent while stealing their video games in Thousand Oaks, officers said.

On Mar. 31, Thousand Oaks Police Department responded to the first block of Megan Place for a reported robbery. They learned the victim placed an on social media for videos games they were selling and was contacted by the suspect.

The two met in person where the suspect “produced a large can of chemical agent and sprayed the victim’s face, neck, and upper body with it,” according to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office.

The suspect ran away before law enforcement officials arrived on scene.

Further investigation led detectives to arrest Christoper Baselyos on Tuesday.

Baselyos was booked into the East County Jail for robbery. His bail was set at $200,000.
