Starting Thursday, the San Juan Creek Trail will be closed for two weeks while workers continue constructing a new railroad bridge over San Juan Creek.
Cyclists and pedestrians who regularly enjoy the trail can follow a detour or avoid the area. A detour will be available to Camino Capistrano, Del Obispo Street and the Trabuco Creek Trail.

The trail will be reopened Aug. 2, but there will be intermittent closures through next month as workers continue the construction.
The bridge work is part of a $65.6 million project replacing the San Juan Creek bridge, which was built in 1917.
