The 75th Emmy Awards nominees were announced Wednesday morning with “Succession” leading in the nominations.

The HBO hit series, which came to an end after four seasons, received 27 nominations. “The Last of Us”, another HBO smash hit, followed closely behind with 24 nominations while ``The White Lotus'' (also HBO) received 23 and ``Ted Lasso” received 21.

Actress Yvette Nicole Brown and Television Academy Chair Frank Scherma announced the nominations virtually.

The announcement comes on the heels of a possible actors strike as SAG-AFTRA’s contract with the studios is set to expire on early Thursday. It also comes as the Writers Guild continues its strike.
