LOS ANGELES (KNX) — KNX has learned Sunday’s game between the Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Ram has been pushed to Tuesday.

The Rams reported a surge in COVID-19 cases after Monday night’s victory over the Arizona Cardinals. The Seahawks also reported players being put on the reserve list due to COVID infections.

The NFL enacted protocols for navigating a nationwide spike in COVID-19 cases in recent weeks related to the emergence of the Omicron variant. Had the league canceled Sunday’s games, players would not have been paid for the week, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The Rams-Seahawks game will air Tuesday night at 7 p.m. Eastern, 4 p.m. Pacific.
