It’s safe to say that most adults have a drink of choice when they’re ready to cut loose and let their hair down, a go-to cocktail or a favorite beer. But what about a favorite drinking game?
A new survey by the gaming website Solitaire Bliss utilizing Google search analytics has sought to determine the favorite drinking game in each of the 50 states, and the results show a pair of tried-and-true favorites topping the overall list. See the full map HERE, but know that it includes True American as Pennsylvania's most popular game; Beer Die in New York; Beer Darts in Minnesota; and something called Drunk Jenga in Texas.
King’s Cup, a drinking game that uses a deck of playing cards, is the big winner overall as America’s favorite, besting some other very popular games to take the crown and leading the way in six states.
Beer Pong ranked second on the survey with Bocce coming in third.
The rest of the top 10 is littered with alcohol-based variations on popular games like Cornhole, Darts and Jenga, but one surprising entry is a game that originated on a television show.
True American got its start as a drinking game played on the comedy series New Girl, but fans have helped it make the jump into the real world. It sits at #9 nationwide and is the drinking game du jour in Colorado, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania.
