Two killed after suspect in Rialto pursuit crashes car

RIALTO, Calif. (KNX) – A police pursuit in Rialto Saturday ended in a collision that left two people dead.

Just before 1 a.m., Colton police were chasing a Nissan Maxima. Rialto Police officers then spotted the car in the area of Linden Avenue and Randall Avenue and started to follow the car after a failed traffic stop.

The suspect ran a red light and collided with another car before crashing into a home on W.
Randall Avenue, police said.

The victims in the car, Aaron McDonald, 31, and Irene Jaramillo, 30, were taken to the hospital where they died.

No one inside the house was injured.

The suspect, identified as Alejandro Canchola, 24, and his passenger, Jose Castrocota, 21, were also taken to local hospitals with moderate injuries.

Police said when Canchola is out of the hospital he will be booked into a San Bernardino County jail for murder.
