While some were celebrating the Easter holiday weekend, chaos broke out in parts of the U.S. as three mass shootings took place, leaving two people dead and dozens injured.
Two of the shootings took place in South Carolina, while the third and deadliest shooting took place in Pennsylvania.
Two 17-year-old boys were killed and eight people were injured when more than 90 shots were fired at a party early Sunday in Pittsburgh. The gunfire erupted just after midnight at an AirBnB rental where as many as 200 people, many of them underage, had gathered.
Police believe a fight escalated before shots rang out, CBS Pittsburgh reported. Multiple gunmen were allegedly involved, with shots fired from inside and outside the property. Some of the injured victims jumped out of windows the escape the violence, the outlet added. No arrests have been made.
AirBnB acknowledged the shooting, saying it strictly bans parties. The booking guest has been issued a lifetime ban, the company added.
In South Carolina, 14 people were injured when shots rang out at the Columbiana Centre mall in Columbia Saturday afternoon. Nine people were shot and five others were injured trying to escape, according to police. The victims range in age from 15- to 73-years-old.
Jewayne Price, 22, was detained shortly after the shooting and then formally arrested. He was charged with unlawful carrying of a pistol and released on a $25,000 surety bond. Two others who were initially detained as persons of interest were released after it was determined they had no involvement.
The shooting is believed to be an isolated incident stemming from an ongoing conflict between the suspects. Police believe as many as three suspects had weapons inside the mall. Evidence collected from the scene indicates that at least two different firearms were used by two suspects, police said.

Hours later and more than 100 miles away in Furman, another gunman opened fire at a nightclub and injured several people who were celebrating the holiday. The Hampton County Sheriff's Office said Monday that seven people were injured in the Sunday morning shooting at Cara's Lounge; nine victims were initially reported.
Police don't believe the shooting was a random act but they offered no details on a possible motive, and no arrests have been made. The lounge was hosting an Easter bash when the gunfire started and people ran for their lives, WTOC reported.
All three shootings remain under investigation.
