LOS ANGELES (KNX) – Video surfacing on social media shows “Full House” star Jodie Sweetin being pushed by a Los Angeles police officer while protesting for abortion rights.
According to multiple reports, it happened as the protest occurred on the 101 Freeway on Saturday.
Video posted on Instagram by Michael Ade showed an officer pushing Sweetin on to the ground. Other protestors helped her up from the groudn

“It pained me to see @JodieSweetin thrown to the ground by members of the LAPD as she was trying to lead a group of peaceful protestors away from the freeway,” Ade captioned in his video, adding that the actress is ok.
"I'm extremely proud of the hundreds of people who showed up yesterday to exercise their First Amendment rights and take immediate action to peacefully protest the giant injustices that have been delivered from our Supreme Court," Sweetin said in a statement.
"Our activism will continue until our voices are heard and action is taken. This will not deter us, we will continue fighting for our rights. We are not free until ALL of us are free."
The Los Angeles Police Department said in a statement to PEOPLE they will investigate the situation.
"The LAPD is aware of a video clip of a woman being pushed to the ground by officers not allowing the group to enter on foot and overtake the 101 freeway," the department said. "The force used will be evaluated against the LAPD's policy and procedure.”
Protests across Los Angeles and throughout the nation have occurred since the Supreme Court announced its opinion in the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health case, which overturns the abortion protections in Roe v. Wade.
