A Thousand Oaks man is out on bail after deputies say he was recording women while they were in a Target fitting room.

Jack Crawford, 25, was arrested on Sept. 17, but the investigation started on June 5. A patrol deputy went to the Target located on Teller Road after a woman caught Crawford in the act of recording her while she was in the fitting room, Ventura County Sheriff's Captain Rob Yoos told KNX News’ Karen Adams.

“While she was in there, she saw a cell phone being pushed over, you know, held over into her dressing room from an adjacent dressing room,” Yoos said. “When she saw that, she tried to make contact with the individual who was inside that dressing room, but didn't receive a response. Ultimately, she moved to a different location, and then the suspect left the business. “

Yoos said when the deputy arrived, they looked at security footage and were able to track the suspect as he was leaving in his car, which captured his license plate.

He added that after Crawford's arrest, the search of his phone showed there are eight victims and that Crawford went to the store on May 12, June 2.
