Warnings issued at 4 L.A. County beaches due to bacteria level

LOS ANGELES (KNX) – Warnings were issued for four Los Angeles area beaches on Monday after the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health said the bacteria level in the water exceeded health standards.

The four beaches are the Santa Monica Pier, Mother’s Beach in Marina Del Rey, Inner Cabrillo Beach in San Pedro and Topanga Canyon Beach in Malibu.

The public is urged not to swim, surf, or do any water-related activity at the beaches.
