GARDEN GROVE (CNS) - A woman died on a storm drain at Haster Basin Park in Garden Grove, authorities said today.
The Orange County Fire Authority reported at 9:47 a.m. that firefighters were called to the park at Haster Street and Lampson Avenue on a report of a person in a storm drain needing medical aid.
Firefighter-paramedics found the woman outside of the drain opening in cardiac arrest and they initiated efforts to resuscitate her to no avail, fire officials said.
Technical rescue teams went into the storm drain to search for other people but did not find anyone, officials said.
Garden Grove police will investigate the woman's death, fire officials said.
