Shelton recently appeared on The Tonight Show telling host Jimmy Fallon that he and his bride plan to dance to 'If You Leave' from the Pretty In Pink soundtrack. For real? Does this mean Gwen is wearing an ‘80s-style wedding dress too? (Kidding!)
"What's your first song? Can you tell me?" Fallon asked. “I think it's called 'The Wedding March,'" Shelton joked.
"Not that song!" Fallon laughed. "At the reception, you come out of a fog machine, ‘Here is Mr. & Mrs. Blake Shelton!’ You come out, 'And now, it's time for the couple's first dance.’ Then what do we hear?"
"It's 'If You Leave' from the 'Pretty In Pink' soundtrack," Shelton responded without skipping a beat. "I swear I have it right here,” he said, flashing his phone screen.
Hard to tell if Shelton is being sincere, since he’s known for his quick wit and fluent sarcasm.
While we take any details Shelton reveals about his upcoming nuptials with a grain of salt, we do know there is one thing we can take his word on, and that’s the talent on this season of NBC’s The Voice.
“I've never had more people asking me about an artist on my team in 20 seasons of doing this show, man,” Blake told his team member, Cam Anthony, after he stole the show with his rendition of Hozier’s, “Take Me to Church.” “You could be the first superstar that we launch off the show.”
A very high compliment from the only original judge still on the show! Season 20 will crown its winner next week.
