Throughout the day on Super Bowl Sunday, Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl made it his mission to man the barbecues and feed the homeless, working hand-in-hand with The Woodlands Family Shelter in Woodland Hills, CA.

In a post shared by Hope of the Valley, a local California nonprofit that Dave Grohl has donated his time and culinary skills to numerous times in the past, the organization gave thanks to the Foo Fighter and his studio pals for “hanging out with us and spreading love through a hot meal.”
In their clip, we can see them flipping, stacking, and preparing a heaping pile of pork butts over a 24-hour period, and after putting in time behind the smokers, the crew served up tons of sandwiches and sides to those in need.
“This time he set a personal record of cooking 100 pork butts which equates to 1,800 meals,” the organization says in a separate post, also alerting fans to look out for a special video coming soon to their YouTube Channel.
“We’re blown away by Dave and the Backbeat Barbecue Teams dedication to helping those in need,” the post continues. “We hope [you] are as inspired as us! If you’re not… take a look at the end of the slide. How can you not feel warm inside after seeing the JOY that was brought to our participants. Pay it forward and pass it on!”
The Foo Fighters will be back on the road in North America before you know it, with festival and headlining dates scheduled to begin in May. Take a look at their upcoming tour dates, and grab your tickets HERE.
