Agents with U.S. Customs and Border Protection have seized a shipment of counterfeit basketball shoes worth $4.3 million at DFW International Airport.
The shipment of phony Adidas and Nike shoes included some Air Jordans that would have sold for $2,000 if they had been real.
"CBP will continue to take every opportunity to intercept illegitimate goods and disrupt transnational criminal enterprises seeking to fund criminal activities with counterfeit or pirated merchandise," said CBP Port Director Timothy Lemaux.
Customs agents seized the phony shoes and also notified both companies.
