The National Football League finished up Week 3 of its four-week pre-season schedule on Sunday in Nashville, with the Tennessee Titans hosting the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Coming off the bench for the Titans was rookie running back Alex Barnes from Kansas State University. The Kansas native had nine carries for 32 yards, averaging 3.6 yards per rush; his longest play was a 10-yard run on the first play of the game from scrimmage. He also caught a pair of passes for five yards, and played on 42% of the offensive snaps for Tennessee.
Barnes led the Big 12 Conference in rushing last year, but was not drafted by any NFL teams.
