The 22nd annual Greater Wichita Sports Banquet was held Thursday evening at the Hyatt Hotel in downtown Wichita.
The newly-named Buster Posey National Collegiate Catcher of the Year Award was announced at the event; this year's winner was Adley Rutschman of the Oregon State Beavers.
Rutschman was the #1 overall pick earlier this month in the Major League Baseball amateur draft; he recently inked an $8.1 million signing bonus with the Baltimore Orioles.
