
With a stifling defense, the Kansas State men's basketball team defeated Oklahoma 61-53 Wednesday evening in Manhattan. It was K-State's eighth consecutive home win over the visiting Sooners.
The KSU defense collected a dozen steals, on the way to forcing 19 turnovers by Oklahoma. K-State outscored OU 18-2 in points-off-turnovers.
Junior Mike McGuirl led Kansas State with 16 points.
K-State is now 9-11 overall, and 2-5 in the Big 12 Conference. The Wildcats are tied for eighth place, but only one game out of sixth place.
