
The Wichita State men's basketball team (10-1) is nationally ranked for the first time this season; the Shockers check in at #25 in this week's Coaches Poll, jumping ahead of Tennessee, North Carolina, and VCU in doing so.
Wichita State defeated the previous 25th-ranked VCU Rams on Saturday 73-63 at Koch Arena.
WSU is still just outside the rankings in this week's Associated Press poll, placing 26th in votes while moving up two spots from last week and jumping over Xavier and North Carolina.
#1-ranked Kansas (9-2) fell four spots in both polls this week; the Jayhawks are now ranked #5 in the nation. KU lost at 14th-ranked Villanova on Saturday, snapping a nine-game winning streak for the Jayhawks.
