According to a bombshell report from ESPN, the Dallas Cowboys paid four of its cheerleaders a confidential settlement of $2.4 million to settle allegations of locker-room voyeurism against a senior team executive in 2015. The report says that the four women caught Rich Dalrymple -- the longtime VP of public relations and communications -- secretly recording them undressing during an AT&T Stadium event. The women received $399,523.27 each, afterward.
In addition, a fan has accused Dalrymple of taking lewd photos of executive Charlotte Jones Anderson, the daughter of team owner Jerry Jones, during the 2015 draft while inside the Cowboys' war room. Dalrymple, who recently announced his retirement after 32 seasons with the team, denied the claims in a statement. The ESPN report says the Cowboys launched an investigation and found no evidence of wrongdoing by Dalrymple. However, they did issue him a "formal written warning" in October 2015.

"I'm thinking it's kind of a non-actionable issue right now, just because of the fact that it was settled. There are, obviously, non-disclosure agreements that go along with the settlement," Audacy Sports legal insider Amy Dash told the Maggie and Perloff show on Wednesday. "Money was exchanged. And to my knowledge, nothing was reported to police. I'm thinking it's outrageous, if it's true. Maybe there's a connection between his retirement, what happened.
"I'm questioning why the guy would stay on staff after the allegation against Jones' daughter, and how that was handled... I'd think a team wouldn't give out millions of dollars unless there was some sort of evidence or witnesses to back up these claims in some way, shape, form. Doesn't mean he did exactly what he was accused of. But there must've been something that they were concerned about, before they decided to dole out that kind of money."
