Amazon’s Thursday Night Football crew continues to get bigger each day.
Former NFL defensive back Aqib Talib has finalized a deal to join the streaming service’s coverage, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, while former offensive lineman Andrew Whitworth is also expected to join, according to Ryan Glasspiegel of the New York Post.
Talib, 36, has spent the last few years as a commentator for Fox Sports while Whitworth, 40, just announced his retirement after winning the Super Bowl with the Rams last year.
Per Glasspiegel, neither Talib nor Whitworth will be used as a desk analyst, but they will contribute to studio programming and other ancillary NFL content.
Amazon has been building quite a crew as they take over exclusive rights for Thursday Night Football this upcoming season.
The streaming service’s studio team will consist of host Charissa Thompson with Tony Gonzalez, Richard Sherman and Ryan Fitzpatrick in studio. Marshawn Lynch is also expected to join in a role outside the studio.
Al Michaels and Kirk Herbstreit will call the game for Amazon in the booth.
Per Glasspiegel, Amazon is also in talks with Pat McAfee about potentially joining its coverage as well.
