Duke-North Carolina is the greatest rivalry in college basketball, but when it comes to college football in the state, don't sleep on the Tar Heels' friction with NC State. The Wolfpack is currently ranked 12th in the nation, and they won't see their ACC conference rival until November 25. But this didn't stop North Carolina quarterback Drake Maye from taking a shot at NC State earlier this week. He said that those who grow up in the state and attend NC State are there because they couldn't get accepted into Chapel Hill.

"It's a young player putting his foot in his mouth. And it's nothing I'm going to pay attention to until we get ready to play them," Wolfpack head coach Dave Doeren told The DA Show on Friday. And when asked if he coaches his team based on how social media and news cycles work, Doeren didn't hold back.

"We're going to use every advantage we can get," Doeren said. "So if there's something out there that'll inspire my team, I'm going to tap into that." Suffice to say, Maye's comments won't go unnoticed on November 25, in what could prove to be an enormous game for NC State this season.
