The Kansas City Chiefs have finalized their initial 53-man roster for the 2026 NFL season after cutting down from 90 players ahead of Sunday’s deadline.
The roster includes plenty of familiar names, along with several newcomers and young players who impressed during the preseason.
Offense
Quarterbacks: Patrick Mahomes, Justin Fields, Garrett Nussmeier
Running backs: Kenneth Walker, Emmett Johnson, Brashard Smith
Wide receivers: Rashee Rice, Xavier Worthy, Jalen Royals, Tyquan Thornton, Nikko Remigio, Cyrus Allen
Tight ends: Travis Kelce, Noah Gray, Jared Wiley, Jake Briningstool
Offensive linemen: Creed Humphrey, Trey Smith, Josh Simmons, Kingsley Suamataia, Jaylon Moore, Josh Ezeudu, Diego Pounds, Hunter Nourzad, Mike Caliendo, Kahlil Benson
Defense

Among the notable roster moves, the Chiefs released defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah and waived quarterback Chris Oladokun. Wide receivers Andrew Armstrong and Jacob De Jesus and tight end Tre Watson were also waived.
Defensive tackle Omarr Norman-Lott will begin the season on the reserve/physically unable to perform list, while wide receiver Jimmy Holiday was placed on injured reserve.
The roster can still change before the Chiefs open the regular season, as Kansas City can add players through the waiver process and build its practice squad.
