The sibling of a Cleveland Cavaliers official was found slain in her Ohio home this week, according to a report.

Ericka Weems, 37, was discovered with a single gunshot to the head in her Akron house on Monday afternoon, police said, according to the Beacon Journal.

Weems was the sister of Cavaliers executive Brandon Weems, reports said.

Cavs general manager Koby Altman confirmed the tragic news in a statement.

"The entire Cavaliers organization was terribly saddened to learn about the recent tragic death of Brandon Weems’ sister Ericka," Altman said. "Our hearts are heavy and filled with pain over this senseless act. We express our deepest condolences to Brandon, the entire Weems family, their loved ones, and the Akron community. We will be with Brandon throughout this extremely difficult time and will offer our assistance and resources to help find justice for Ericka."

Brandon Weems was a teammate of LeBron James at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in Akron, and now serves as the Cavs' director of scouting, a role he's held since 2017.

"She just loved and cared about everybody," Brandon Weems told News 5 Cleveland. "She had the biggest heart. I'm going to miss her dearly."

On Wednesday, James took to social media to call for justice.

"AKRON OHIO!! My brother’s sister was murdered this past weekend in her home!" James said in a tweet. "My brother family need answers to why and by whom. My city I need y’all to go to work and find out who did this awful, shameful, disgusting thing to such a caring, loving angel! #Justice4EricaWeems"

Weems' family said they were shocked and had no clue why anyone would try to hurt her. The Ohio State graduate majored in child care and ran a daycare at her house, the Beacon Journal reported.

"She's a spectacular person," Darrell Weems Sr. said of his daughter. "I don't know why anybody would want to hurt her."

Police had not identified any suspects, the report said.
