A historic Atlanta Krispy Kreme store owned by Basketball Hall of Famer Shaquille O'Neal was damaged in overnight fire.
Fire crews responded to a blaze at the decades-old chain on Atlanta's Ponce de Leon Avenue soon after midnight, the Associated Press reported.
Videos and photos uploaded to social media showed large flames jumping from the structure while crews worked to contain it.
O'Neal, the retired NBA legend turned TNT analyst, purchased the chain in 2016.
“I hope no one was hurt and we will bounce back better than ever,” O'Neal told a local TV station.
No injuries were reported, while the cause of the blaze was still under investigation.
The iconic restaurant launched in 1965, and served up free donuts to mourners at local churches after Martin Luther King Jr.'s funeral in April 1968, the report said. It was one of the first locations opened outside the iconic donut chain's flagship locations in North Carolina and Tennessee.
