The Milwaukee Bucks are hiring former Philadelphia 76ers head coach Doc Rivers to take over as their new head coach, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Rivers, 62, was the Sixers' head coach from 2020-2023 and was fired the past offseason.

Previously, Rivers was the head coach of the Clippers from 2013-2020, the Celtics from 2004-2013 and the Magic from 1999-2003. Rivers won an NBA Championship with Boston in 2008.

The Bucks, despite a 30-13 record, fired first-year head coach Adrian Griffin after just 43 games.

Rivers is from Chicago, Illinois and was an All-American at Marquette University in Milwaukee.
