The bulk of the NFC East was set to pick back-to-back-to-back in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft, with the Cowboys, Giants, and Eagles selecting 10, 11, and 12 respectively.
That still happened, but with a twist: Philly sent Dallas a third-rounder to swap first-round picks, moving up to 10 to select Heisman Trophy-winning Alabama WR DeVonta Smith -- and Giants Twitter was furious, perhaps even more so after Big Blue ended up trading down from 11 to 20 so the Bears could jump up to grab Ohio State QB Justin Fields.
Who the Giants get at 20 remained to be seen, but hopefully, that pick quells the anger Big Blue Nation was feeling for their rivals down the NJ Turnpike:
