The defending TBT champion AfterShocks are still alive after rallying for a 73-67 victory over The Enchantment in a winner-take-all Game 3 at Charles Koch Arena. The win capped a hard-fought opening-round series and kept Wichita State's alumni team in the hunt for another tournament title.
After trailing for much of the game, the AfterShocks took control late and credited the energy from the home crowd for helping fuel the comeback. The victory sends Wichita State's alumni squad into the next round with momentum after surviving elimination.
They'll now face JHX Hoops, the Kansas alumni team, in a highly anticipated in-state showdown. JHX Hoops also advanced after winning its own elimination game, setting up a battle between former Jayhawks and Shockers for a spot in the next round of The Basketball Tournament.
The single-elimination matchup is scheduled for Monday night at Charles Koch Arena in Wichita.
