Tulsa and Wichita State will represent the American Conference in the 2026 National Invitation Tournament, opening play Tuesday in nationally televised games.
The teams tied for second place in the conference’s regular-season standings and were both placed in the Tulsa Regional.
Tulsa (26-7) earned the No. 1 seed in its region and will host Stephen F. Austin at 8 p.m. ET Tuesday..
Wichita State (22-11), the American Conference Tournament runner-up, is the No. 3 seed and will host Wyoming at 6 p.m. Tuesday on KEYN Radio.
First-round games will be played Tuesday and Wednesday, March 17-18. The second round is scheduled for March 21-22, followed by quarterfinals on March 24-25.
The four remaining teams will advance to historic Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis for the semifinals on Thursday, April 2. The tournament will conclude with the 88th NIT championship game on Sunday, April 5.
