Brian Howe, former lead vocalist of Bad Company has died at the age of 66, TMZ reports.
According to the outlet, Howe passed away Wednesday after suffering cardiac arrest while in transit to hospital. Howe had a history of heart disease and also suffered a heart attack in 2017.
Brian Anthony Howe was born in Portsmouth, England on July 22, 1953. He had his big break in the U.S. in 1984 when he sang on Ted Nugent's Penetrator album. He went on to replace Paul Rodgers in Bad Company in 1986 and was one of two primary writers on the band's highly successful Holy Water album.
After 8 years, Howe left Bad Company to pursue a solo career, saying at the time that leaving the group was "not a difficult decision" and that he was "tired of doing all the work and then getting nothing but resentment for it".
