Taylor's Top 5 Must Have Travel Items
Depending on who you are and how you travel, sometimes we forget that there are tons of travel items out there that can make your life a whole lot easier. Check out my 5 favorite travel items and see if they work for you!
1.Backpack with extra pockets! I cannot tell you how much money I have saved by traveling with a duffel bag and a large backpack. Remember, you are allowed 1 carry on item and who's to say you can't pack some essentials in there? In my large backpack, I usually pack my purse, wallet, headphones, makeup, laptop/camera and other essential items that don't necessarily need to be packed away. I sometimes am able to even pack a few extra pairs of shoes or clothes in this bag so I have more room in my suitcase. Be sure to pack SMART, not materialistic! This also saves room for more souvenirs if that's what you like to bring home!
2.Multi USB Charger / Multiple charging points. This is such a huge lifesaver when traveling with a phone, camera and laptop to be able to charge everything all at once. I also highly recommend a portable charger just in case you need something to be charged on hand. I usually end up having to hang out during a layover at some point, so this saves me from boredom as well! It will also help your kids stay preoccupied if they have any tablets or gaming devices.
3.Money holder - I have a phone case that holds my credit cards/ID! There are also money belts, bracelets and other ways to carry around your most needed items. There is nothing worse than losing your money and wallet with every single one of your items in it. Why not travel light? Only take what you need with these fun carriers that will make your life so much easier.
4.Water Bottle - Stay hydrated! There's nothing worse than having to pay $10 for a simple bottle of water at the airport. Be sure to bring your own (empty when you show up, of course).
5.Neck pillow! If you show up on your 4+ hour flight without a neck pillow, I truly feel bad for you! My favorite travel invention hands down is the inflatable neck pillow. It fits perfectly in a backpack and is so comfortable for your flight naps! Be sure to always make yourself as comfortable as possible. It's YOUR trip, so make it your trip!
