What a week it has been! While I took a break from KGON for a week, my family decided it was time to take a family vacation out to Cabo San Lucas. We escaped the Portland heat wave and traded it in for a nice and humid 80 degree heat.
We arrived over the weekend and got settled in to Grand Fiesta Americana - Live Aqua. This part of the resort was a private residence that we were lucky enough to partake in due to a timeshare and it was absolutely beautiful. The views, food and accommodations were truly great. The wheelchair accessibility was decent and we cozied up into our home for the week right away.
The week was filled with tons of pool and beach time, touring the island and many shots of tequila. This was my first time at an all inclusive resort and I have to say I was not disappointed! We drank enough tequila for the rest of the year and got to experience some amazing restaurants within our resort as well. From steakhouses to seafood, Italian food and of Course authentic Mexican Food it was very easy to stay loaded on drinks and amazing food.
Out of the entire week I would say our ATV tour was the highlight of our adventure. We got to take out ATV's on a tour down the beach of the Sea of Cortez and through the beach trails that surround the coast line. The beach, the weather and the views were absolutely amazing! Andrew was able to drive with his portable hand controls and we definitely pushed that ATV to it's limits.
We ended the trip with a beautiful sunset booze cruise with Cabo Adventures. Although I got a little seasick, we made our last excursion one to remember with drinks, snacks and gorgeous views of the archway on lovers beach. While we were exploring throughout the week, Andrew and I also got tattoos, explored downtown Cabo and partied at Squid row (a must see if you haven't been). If you're traveling to Cabo this year, bring a lot of dollar bills for tipping and be sure to wear your mask everywhere you go! They are currently in a Red Zone in their state and the COVID-19 rate is pretty high. Just be sure to get your COVID-19 test before you come back into the states or you'll be stuck there for another two weeks!
Keep on adventuring, FOS. Get out and see something new!
