Temperatures are dropping across Oregon again, which means it's time for kids to start bundling up before they leave the house. But for some of them, it's not as easy as throwing on a jacket. That's why we've partnered with the Portland Firefighters Association and Operation Warm for Coats for Kids.
There are over 100,000 children living in poverty here in Oregon state, and this year they need your help finding an affordable, quality jacket to keep out the cold more than ever. Purchasing coats can be difficult for families of growing kids. That's why we're teaming up with your local firefighters to help put as many kids as possible in brand-new, American-made jackets this winter.
Every $20 donated puts a brand new coat on a child in need.
This year our goal is to help 500 kids get the winter coats they deserve, and we're inviting YOU to join us in our mission!
You can also text KGON to 44321 to donate!
Thanks to First Call Heating & Coolling for matching up to $1,000 in donations!
Every dollar counts toward giving a kid a jacket that will keep them happy, healthy, and warm this holiday season.
Thanks for the help!
