Welcome to rock bottom 12's! It is cold and dark down here and sure is not nearly and fun as the previous 10 years. Hawks looked dreadful during their 13-10 loss to the Saints on Monday Night Football, dropping to 0-3 at home for the 1st time since 1992. Hawks played that game trying not to lose instead of trying to win. Coaching staff treated Geno Smith like a game managing rookie, and the defense continues to make mistakes at the most crucial parts of the game. Realistically to make the playoffs Hawks will need to get to 10-7. Currently sitting at 2-5 and with games against the Packers, Rams and two against the Cardinals, it's looking bleak. The glimmer of hope? Seahawks play the Jacksonville Jaguars next, one of the few teams playing as bad as them. They come in with a 1-5 record offense averages 19 points a game and their defense is giving up 29 a game. While they're not losing, their head coach is apologizing for getting lap dances. So I guess rock bottom would actually be losing this week. Gotta win. No excuses.
